The Pittsburgh School of pain management teaches a one year program on pain management utilizing
myofascial trigger point therapy. There is a new myofascial trigger point therapy pain management
program beginning every three months. The myofascial trigger point therapy pain management
programs run two days a week for eight hours a day.
myofascial trigger point therapy
Myofascial trigger point therapy is the art of finding trigger points that are causing the pain
and the releasing those points througn the application of pressure. Through an ongoing process
the muscles are retrained so that the trigger points no longer exist.
Massage and Pain Management
The Pittsburgh School of Pain Management goes way beyond what is taught in massage schools for
trigger point therapy. While many massage schools may offer a nine or ten hour course in
myofascial trigger point therapy, none of the massage schools come any where close to the six
hundred plus hour program that the Pittsburgh School of Pain management is offering.
